MY REVIEW:
This book...where to start!?... it is one of the most baffling, disturbing and bizarre books I have read, but in a good way...I think!...
Downing portrays what could be any normal couple but we very quickly learn that they have a dark and twisted secret. This secret soon starts to unravel and we find ourselves in a bizarre situation of betrayal and confusion with our main protagonist.
The pace of the book is and the plot seems to develop with every page. You will be on the edge of your seat for some of it and it just shows how good an author Downing is.
I flew through this book and was totally hooked but I can’t say I adored it and I can’t say I hated it. It has stuck with me and is definitely one of the more haunting and creepy books I have read in recent years. It’s an extremely chilling and disturbed story and it is written and portrayed really well.
I'm going to keep this review short because I don't want to give too much away. If you like eerie, creepy, chilling and disturbing thrillers then read this book - it will blow your mind!
